Jinju is preparing for the spring travel season with a wide range of events and experiences aimed at attracting visitors and encouraging longer stays across the city.

At the center of the season is the Jinju Nongae Festival, which will take place from May 2 to May 5 at Jinju Fortress and the surrounding historic park. The event highlights local heritage through traditional ceremonies and hands on experiences linked to the city’s gyobang culture.

In the lead up to the festival, the outdoor historical musical Uigi Nongae will run from April 24 to May 16 on Friday and Saturday evenings, using the Nam River as a natural stage.

Spring programming also includes a public open day at the Air Force Education and Training Command on March 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring an air show and live performances. Night tourism will expand through the RiverNight Jinju program, offering walking tours, music events, and evening experiences tied to major festivals.

Additional highlights include a special exhibition focused on Chokseoknu from April 10 to May 10, as well as seasonal experiences, river cruises, and local incentive programs designed to boost visits to the old downtown area.
