Jinju City’s Winter Outdoor Skating Rink is enjoying a strong season, with growing crowds and positive feedback from residents.
The facility, which opened on December 20 in Chojeon-dong, has already welcomed around 30,000 visitors as of January 25, about 1,700 more than during the same period last year.
By the time it closes, total attendance is expected to reach 50,000.
The venue features three main attractions: an ice skating rink, a sledding hill, and an ice tube slide, offering a range of winter activities for all ages. A full roof covering helps maintain stable ice conditions, even during Jinju’s relatively mild winter weather.
This season, the popular ice tube slide has been expanded, and food trucks have been added nearby. These upgrades have helped position the rink as a key winter leisure space in the city.
The skating rink will remain open until February 22. Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, with extended hours until 8 p.m. on weekends.
Reservations are available through Jinju City’s integrated online reservation system, while same-day entry is also possible.
