The 19th Jirisan Sancheong Gorosoe Mineral Water Festival will take place on February 28 at the dried persimmon distribution center area in Sicheon-myeon, Sancheong County.

Organized by the Sancheong Gorosoe Association, the event introduces visitors to gorosoe tree sap, a seasonal spring drink traditionally harvested in the Jirisan region, while bringing together residents and travelers in a community gathering.

The festival opens with a ceremonial rite and joint pouring ritual wishing for local well-being and a plentiful sap harvest.

A commemorative ceremony follows, along with programs such as a sap-drinking contest, free tastings, live performances by invited singers and local groups, and a public singing contest.

Sap products will be sold at a 20% discount on the day of the festival.

Although the main event runs for one day, the accompanying sales market will continue through March 1 so visitors have additional time to purchase the seasonal product.
