Seoul has appointed rising K-pop girl group KiiiKiii as its official Seoul Color ambassador, aiming to boost awareness of the city’s “Seoul Color and Seoul Light” branding and connect with younger audiences.
The appointment ceremony took place on Wednesday, with the group set to help promote Seoul’s vibrant city image through social media driven content and collaborations tied to popular landmarks.
Seoul selects a “Seoul Color” each year based on current trends and everyday life in the city, using it across public spaces, cultural events, and partnerships.
The 2026 Seoul Color, “Morning Yellow,” was inspired by the morning sun and represents a bright, positive start to the day. In a survey of 1,416 citizens, “vitality” was chosen as the top value, shaping the color’s message of energy and optimism.
KiiiKiii, a five member group under Starship Entertainment, has quickly gained attention since debuting with “I DO ME,” earning a music show win just 13 days after release and collecting multiple rookie awards.
As ambassadors, the group will participate in photo and video content featuring Seoul Color and Seoul Light themes, including short form videos filmed at major locations such as Namsan Tower, Cheonggyecheon, and DDP.
The content will be released through both KiiiKiii’s official channels and Seoul’s city social media platforms, with additional promotional videos expected to appear across Seoul’s public media screens.
