The 2025 Taehwagang National Garden Autumn Festival will be held from October 24 to 26 at Taehwagang National Garden, celebrating the season with vibrant colors and hands-on experiences.
This year’s festival, themed “Where the Wind Rests, the Autumn Garden,” will feature a stunning display of chrysanthemums, pink muhly, pampas grass, cosmos, and silver grass.
Visitors can also explore the new naturalistic garden designed by world-renowned garden designer Piet Oudolf.
The opening ceremony will take place at 6:40 pm on October 24 at the Willow Plaza main stage. Instead of large-scale performances, this year’s event focuses on citizen participation with expanded interactive programs.
Highlights include “Make Your Family Garden,” where families and couples can plant flowers together, as well as the “Novice Gardener Contest,” “Happy Gardener,” and “Little Gardener” programs designed for all ages.
Activities like “Spring Flower Seed Planting” and “Seed Bomb Throwing” offer visitors a chance to prepare for next year’s blooms, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additional attractions include silver grass bouquet making, healing meditation, photo zones set among autumn flowers, and a flea market.
Visitors can also enjoy related events such as equestrian experiences and performances from the Ulsan A-Palm Project.
To enhance the festive atmosphere, the city has installed floral sculptures featuring “Flobby,” the mascot of the 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo, at the entrance.
In the evening, the park will glow under string lights along the Zelkova Trail, creating a warm, romantic autumn night ambiance for festivalgoers.
