The 17th Geumwonsan Ice Festival will take place from January 8 to 14 at the Geumwonsan Recreational Forest in Geochang, Gyeongnam.

During the festival, visitors can enjoy sledding and ice skating at the outdoor rink, while the ice sculpture park will feature a variety of artist-made frozen artworks on display.

Family-friendly experiences, including winter snack making and inflatable play zones, will also be prepared for children and parents visiting together.

A food stall zone will operate on-site, giving guests a place to warm up and enjoy seasonal snacks, although organizers note that some programs may be adjusted depending on winter weather conditions.

Additionally, the Suseungdae Snow Sledding Park opened on December 24 and will run through February 10.

The park features 20 lanes with a 120-meter slope and 20-meter width, along with a moving walk system for easy access to the hilltop.

Operating hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and parking at the Suseungdae tourist area is free for sledding visitors.

The surrounding Suseungdae area also offers a suspension bridge, auto-camping zone, forest-themed play facilities, walking trails, and nearby cultural heritage sites, making it a popular winter outing destination for families each year.
