Gimhae in South Korea unveils upgraded Tteulso Stream Waterfront Park

Gimhae has completed a major improvement project along Tteulso Stream, creating a more attractive and comfortable waterfront space for residents in the Jangyu area.
The project focused on the section connecting Yulha Stream, stretching from Jangyu-dong to Eungdal-dong, with a total investment of 700 million won. Developed under the theme “Tteulso Stream with the Stars,” the project included renovated walking paths, new surface paving, landscape lighting, additional public art installations, and expanded rest areas.
The improvements build on previous flood prevention and stream maintenance projects, with the latest phase aimed at enhancing the stream as a community recreation space.
Particular attention was given to creating a safer and more enjoyable environment for pedestrians through the installation of star-themed lighting and decorative features that illuminate the area after dark.
The upgraded stream corridor is expected to become one of Jangyu’s signature waterfront destinations, offering residents a scenic place to walk, exercise, and relax both during the day and in the evening.
Gimhae City recently conducted a site inspection to review the newly installed facilities, including lighting, sculptures, and other amenities, and confirmed that the area is ready for public use.
