Tongyeong City will hold the “Gangguan Media Park Festival” on Saturday, November 15, at Gangguan Port, celebrating the completion of its Smart Tourism City Project and Gangguan Nightscape Improvement Project.

The festival, themed “Gangguan Reborn in Light and Media,” will showcase the city’s transformation into a destination where technology, art, and local culture converge.

The event highlights the achievements of two projects implemented over the past three years, combining smart tourism services with artistic nightscapes to create an innovative tourism model.

Festivalgoers can explore interactive digital content using smart signage, including AI multilingual guides, GPS-based audio tours, an integrated tourism platform, and an immersive “Smart Photo Studio.”

Gamified attractions such as the “Find the Dragon King’s Taste” Mission Tour, live signage games, and a boardgame lounge with over 50 titles will provide entertainment for all ages.

A major highlight, the Gangguan Bridge Fountain Show, will blend water, music, light, and video to create a dynamic spectacle. LED lighting synchronized with real-time media content will illuminate the sea, transforming the waterfront into a glowing “wave of light.”

The Media Art Zone at the Cultural Plaza will feature immersive visuals of Tongyeong’s ocean and art, responding to audience movement for an interactive, sensory experience. Local and free markets will also operate, offering Tongyeong’s signature foods and handmade crafts to support neighborhood businesses.

On-site events include prize giveaways, such as iPads for game winners, Tongyeong Tour Passes for Stamp Tour participants, and special vouchers for students.
