Ulsan City is operating a seasonal “Taehwa River Wild Mustard Flower Ecological Observation Site” from April 6 to 26 near the public parking area in Daun-dong (467), Jung-gu, offering visitors a closer look at one of the city’s signature spring landscapes.
The site highlights the bright yellow wild mustard flowers that bloom along the Taehwa River each April, transforming the riverside into a popular seasonal attraction.
The program is designed to promote Ulsan’s identity as an eco-friendly city while raising awareness of river ecosystems and native plant species.
Visitors can join on-site sessions led by nature interpreters, who explain how to distinguish between similar-looking rapeseed and mustard flowers, while also introducing native, naturalized, and invasive plant species found along the river.
The observation site operates daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. without reservations, though it will close in the event of rain. In addition to guided explanations, hands-on eco-craft activities such as flower-shaped block making and bracelet crafting are available.
Photo zones and seating areas have also been installed within the flower fields, offering visitors a chance to enjoy and capture the spring scenery along the Taehwa River.
