Lotte World Adventure Busan has launched its fall festival, transforming the theme park with MapleStory characters, performances and interactive attractions through November 22.
The “MapleStory in Lotte World Busan” festival features characters from Nexon’s long-running online game, including Pink Bean, Orange Mushroom and Slime.
Areas throughout the park have been redesigned around locations and characters from the game, with themed photo zones and a six-meter-tall Orange Mushroom balloon among the attractions.
A new parade, “MapleStory: Dance Together,” takes place twice daily at 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., except Tuesdays. Pink Bean photo sessions are also held at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. near the Talking Tree.
Visitors can create customized digital characters at an interactive zone on the Garden Stage, while MapleStory players can load their existing game characters. A mobile stamp rally, live performances of music from the game and limited-edition merchandise are also available.
For a darker experience, the Underland area has been transformed into “Zombie World,” with horror sets and live performances beginning in the evening. Programs include a zombie photo session at 6 p.m., “Zombie World: The Beginning” at 7 p.m. and the “Big Daddy Zombie Night” rock musical at 8 p.m., except Tuesdays.
Fireworks are scheduled at Royal Garden Plaza every Saturday in September at 8:30 p.m.
The fall festival runs through November 22.
