A three-day nighttime cultural event will take place in Miryang from April 24 to 26, centered around the historic Yeongnamnu Pavilion and nearby areas including the former government office site and the Miryang River.

Hosted by the city and organized by the Miryang Cultural City Center, the “2026 Miryang National Heritage Night Tour” will run daily from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The event focuses on reinterpreting both tangible and intangible cultural heritage through evening programs. It has been selected for seven consecutive years as part of a national heritage initiative, establishing itself as a recurring nighttime tourism event in the region.

This year’s program places an emphasis on extending visitor stays beyond short visits, promoting an overnight tourism model linked to local accommodations and food offerings. Activities are structured around eight themed nighttime experiences, designed to encourage deeper engagement with the city after dark.

Key events include an outdoor musical performance set against Yeongnamnu Pavilion and a fireworks display over the Miryang River. The program also features illuminated boats and water-based light effects as part of the evening attractions.

Food and local commerce are integrated into the event through temporary night markets and food stalls operating in the Sammun-dong riverside area. Organizers expect these elements to contribute to increased nighttime spending and longer visitor stays.

Traffic restrictions will be in place during the festival. From 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. each day, vehicle access will be limited along the route between Miryang Government Office and the Yeongnamnu entrance. Visitors are advised to plan accordingly due to anticipated congestion.

Further details are available through the Miryang Cultural City Center and the city’s cultural affairs office.
