One of Gyeongnam’s biggest summer festivals is returning with an expanded lineup of water activities, sports, concerts, and family-friendly entertainment along the Miryang River.

The 2026 Miryang Super Festival will be held from August 7 to 9, operating daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Sammun-dong Miryang Riverside.

Admission is free.

Now in its second year, the festival has grown into a full-scale summer event featuring 17 programs built around four themes: water activities, river experiences, sports, and entertainment.

Organizers hope the expanded program will encourage visitors to spend the entire day in Miryang while supporting local businesses and tourism.

Festival-goers can cool off in a large water play zone complete with waterslides before taking part in signature events such as the Super Challenge Race, the large-scale Super Water Battle, and the evening Super Club party.

Visitors can also enjoy kayaking, water bicycles, and pedal boats on the Miryang River.

Away from the water, the festival offers a packed schedule of sporting events, including badminton, dodgeball, physical challenges, e-sports, and a multi-event Super Olympics.

Live entertainment continues throughout the weekend with DJ sets, university dance performances, and concerts by popular Korean artists. Food trucks, market stalls, and shaded rest areas will also be available across the festival grounds.

The festival is being promoted as a “Three No” event, with organizers promising no unnecessary opening ceremonies, reduced waiting times through advance reservations for popular activities, and measures to prevent excessive food prices.

Additional information and reservations for selected activities are available on the festival’s official website.
