The Busan Metropolitan Government has fully revamped its long-running foreign resident information platform, reintroducing it under a new brand name, My Busan, to improve accessibility and usability for international residents.
Previously known as Life in Busan, the service began in 2006 as a print publication before moving online in 2015.
The latest overhaul reorganizes scattered information into a user-centered structure designed to make daily life in Busan easier to navigate for foreigners.
My Busan provides key settlement and lifestyle information, including daily living, administrative services, visas, healthcare, education, employment and entrepreneurship, and local universities, in up to 57 languages.
The name reflects the city’s goal of helping foreign residents, students, and workers see Busan as “their city,” not just a place of temporary stay.
A new Study in Busan section has also been added to support international students, offering university information, student support systems, and step-by-step guidance for studying and living in the city.
The platform is accessible at mybusan.kr, and the city plans to continue updating the service based on user needs, strengthening its role as a central information hub for Busan’s growing international community.
