Namhae County has officially opened its five public beaches for the summer, launching a 45-day summer season that will run through August 23.
The beaches opening this summer are Sangju Silver Sand Beach, Songjeong Solbaram Beach, Seolli Beach, Dugok-Wolpo Beach, and Sachon Beach.
The county completed facility maintenance, beach cleanups, and safety preparations to provide visitors with a safe and comfortable environment throughout the peak vacation season.
All beaches will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with lifeguards and safety personnel stationed throughout operating hours.
Officials will also continuously monitor weather and sea conditions to help prevent water-related accidents.
Safety measures have been strengthened this year, with the number of lifeguards increased from 42 to 46, allowing for faster emergency response when needed.
Rescue equipment and safety facilities have also been inspected, while patrols, safety announcements, and coordination with relevant agencies will continue throughout the season.
The county will also maintain water quality, keep beaches clean, and manage visitor facilities during the operating period.
Visitors are encouraged to follow all safety guidelines, avoid swimming after consuming alcohol, cooperate with lifeguards, and stay out of the water during rough weather or high waves.
