Namhae County will host the 8th Treasure Island Namhae Bicycle Festival on April 12 at Namhae Chungnyeolsa Shrine in Seolcheon myeon.
Organized by the Namhae Sports Council and hosted by Gyeongnam Ilbo, the event will feature a scenic cycling tour along the county’s coastal roads. Participants will ride from Namhae Chungnyeolsa to the Jukbangryeom Promotion Center in Samdong myeon and back, covering a total distance of about 70 kilometers.
The event will be held in a tour format rather than as a competitive race. Participants can choose between a 20 kilometer course from Namhae Chungnyeolsa to Jinmok Coastal Rest Area and back, or the full 70 kilometer course designed for experienced cycling enthusiasts.
Anyone interested in cycling can participate, including families and amateur riders. Minors are allowed to join with parental consent.
The registration fee is 30,000 won for adults and 25,000 won for youth participants. On the day of the event, participants will receive Namhae Love gift certificates worth 25,000 won for adults and 20,000 won for youth as souvenirs.
Registration is available on a first come basis through the official website at namhaebike.kr until March 31.
