Namhae County is preparing to welcome spring visitors with its seasonal tourism campaign “Spring in Namhae?”, highlighting some of the region’s most scenic cherry blossom and canola flower spots.

From March to April, popular locations across the county, including Namhae Bridge and the Wangji Cherry Blossom Road, are expected to reach peak bloom. Local officials say preparations are underway to ensure visitors can fully enjoy the vibrant spring landscapes.

One of the most famous spots is the Wangji Cherry Blossom Road in Seolcheon-myeon, previously selected as one of Korea’s 100 Most Beautiful Roads.

The coastal route features long tunnels of cherry blossoms, with bright yellow canola flowers and the blue sea creating a picturesque spring scene. The road is especially popular as a scenic drive, where falling petals often resemble a shower of blossoms.

Nearby Namhae Bridge also becomes a striking attraction during the season, with white cherry blossoms framing the iconic red bridge. The area is particularly popular in the evening when the blossoms are illuminated at night.

Another highlight is Gacheon Daraengi Village, where terraced rice fields fill with blooming canola flowers against the backdrop of the sea. The location has become a favorite for visitors hoping to capture memorable spring photos.

Additional spring attractions include Dumo Paradarangs in Sangju-myeon, a terraced field-themed park where a café is scheduled to reopen in mid-March, adding another scenic stop for visitors exploring Namhae during the flower season.
