Namhae County, Korea officially names Shinjeon Park as ‘Aenggang Park’

Namhae County has officially designated the park in Sinjeon-ri, Idong-myeon as “Aenggang Park,” ending years of confusion caused by multiple unofficial names such as Aenggang Rest Area, Gunmin Hill, and Aenggang Pass.
The county conducted public surveys, internal discussions, and a naming contest beginning in September before finalizing the name through the County Administration Coordination Committee.
With the name now set, Namhae plans to strengthen Aenggang Park as a local tourism spot by leveraging nearby attractions including the Aenggang Observatory and hydrangea plantings.
Namhae County also plans to use this opportunity to improve facilities and develop new programs, aiming to establish Aenggang Park as a must-visit destination.
