The 2026 Namhae German Village Maifest will take place on May 23 at the Namhae German Village plaza, featuring spring flowers, performances, and hands-on cultural activities.
The festival will center around the village’s European-style scenery and seasonal spring atmosphere, with organizers preparing a variety of programs aimed at families, couples, and tourists.
One of the main attractions will be a German-themed parade moving through the festival grounds, alongside large flower carpet displays designed throughout the plaza area.
Visitors will also be able to participate in several interactive programs, including caricature drawing events, four-cut photo booths, patch-making workshops, and flower bracelet and flower crown crafting activities.
Live performances are also scheduled throughout the day, including appearances by the show choir group Harmonize and participatory dance events inspired by traditional German “Tanz” performances.
Additional family-friendly activities include snack-catching games for children and interactive stage events.
The festival will also host a special social media event titled “Hang Your Wish on the Maybaum,” where participants can enter through online comments for a chance to win accommodation vouchers in Namhae.
