The Namhae County Tourism Association has selected Jodo trekking and the seasonal seafood delicacy seodae as its featured attractions for June through its monthly “Namhae of the Month” campaign.

Located at the southern tip of Namhae, Jodo is known for its scenic coastal trails and panoramic views of the surrounding sea and islands. Together with nearby Hodo, the island forms one of Namhae’s most recognizable coastal landscapes.

The association recommends June as an ideal time to visit, when clearer skies and deeper blue waters provide some of the area’s best scenery.

Walking along Jodo’s winding shoreline offers sweeping views of the South Sea, with layers of islands stretching across the horizon. The route has become a popular destination for visitors seeking a relaxed outdoor experience and coastal scenery.

After exploring the island, visitors can also enjoy one of Namhae’s seasonal specialties. Seodae, a local flatfish, reaches its peak in June, when the fish is known for its firm texture and clean, delicate flavor.

Widely enjoyed throughout the region, it remains one of Namhae’s signature early summer seafood dishes.
