The 6th Odong-dong A-Maek Festival will take place September 11 and 12 at Odong-dong Culture Square and the surrounding Culture Street area in Changwon.

The festival takes its name from agu, or monkfish, and maekju, the Korean word for beer. Visitors can enjoy dried monkfish, draft beer and live entertainment in one of Masan’s downtown districts.

Events begin at 3 p.m. each day, with the opening ceremony scheduled for 6 p.m. on September 11.

DJ DOC will headline the first night, while singers, DJs, girl groups and dance teams will perform throughout the two-day festival.

Additional entertainment along Culture Street will include electronic violin, K-pop cover performances and DJ sets. Visitors can also participate in beer games and a disco competition.

Food booths and trucks will serve dried monkfish and other snacks alongside draft beer.

Visitors purchasing alcohol must bring identification and receive an age-verification wristband at the venue.
