The 2026 Pohang Chimaek Festival will take place from August 21 to 22 at Yeongildae Plaza and the Yeongildae Pavilion in Pohang, offering two days of food, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Held along one of Pohang’s best-known waterfront attractions, the free festival combines chicken and beer with performances, hands-on experiences, and evening events designed to attract both residents and visitors.

The program includes live concerts, the Chimaek Star K singing competition, a Pohang Chimaek King contest, recreation events, and an EDM party overlooking the beach.

Visitors can also enjoy a variety of interactive activities, including water games, arts and crafts, a receipt lucky draw, food trucks, and a flea market.

The festival aims to showcase Pohang as a summer tourism destination while supporting local businesses and encouraging visitors to explore the city’s waterfront.
