Check out the three-day Rose of Sharon exhibition at Song Sang-hyeon Square

Busan will celebrate Korea’s national flower with the 41st Rose of Sharon (Mugunghwa) Exhibition, taking place July 24–26 at the fountain plaza in Song Sang-hyeon Square.
The exhibition will showcase more than 1,000 Mugunghwa plants representing over 50 varieties, including mature specimens that have been cultivated by the city for decades.
The event also commemorates Busan’s hosting of the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee session.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of hands-on activities, including Mugunghwa tea tastings, fan-decorating workshops, and tree-planting experiences.
The city will also give away 1,200 potted Mugunghwa plants during the event.
To help visitors stay cool during the summer heat, the plaza’s popular ground fountain will operate nine times daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Complimentary fans and cold drinks will also be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
