Samnak Eco Park Water Playground returns with longer summer season

One of western Busan’s most popular summer attractions is set to reopen next month, with the Samnak Eco Park Water Playground extending its operating season after drawing around 70,000 visitors last year.
The children’s water playground at the Samnak Eco Park Cultural Plaza will open on July 17 and operate through Aug. 24.
The facility will welcome visitors daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with free admission.
Covering approximately 8,900 square meters, the playground will feature a variety of water attractions, including an 80-meter tube water slide, a wooden deck pool, themed splash pools, a polar bear-themed slide and a spinning sled ride.
Visitors can also enjoy entertainment programs such as bubble shows held twice daily, along with busking performances and magic shows.
The playground resumed operations last summer after being closed for six years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and aging facilities. During its one-month run in 2025, it attracted approximately 70,000 visitors.
District officials expect attendance to increase this year after expanding both the operating period and the range of facilities.
With another hot summer forecast, the playground is expected to remain a popular destination for families seeking relief from the heat.
The district will also continue its special “Disabled Family Day,” inviting around 500 family members of people with disabilities to enjoy exclusive access to the facility on August 24.
