Sancheong County is continuing its travel incentive program, including the “Stay One Night in Sancheong” initiative, as part of efforts to attract more visitors during the spring season.

The program is aimed at encouraging overnight stays and increasing local spending, particularly as the region looks to support recovery in the tourism sector.

Eligible participants must be non-residents traveling in groups of two or more and staying at least one night in Sancheong.

To qualify, visitors are required to use local accommodations, dine at least once at a restaurant, and visit designated tourist sites.

Incentives are provided in the form of local gift certificates, with up to 100,000 won available depending on total spending.

Travelers who spend over 100,000 won receive 50,000 won, while those exceeding 200,000 won receive the full 100,000 won.

Applications must be submitted at least two days before the trip, and unregistered visits are not eligible. This year, the county introduced an online application system using Naver forms to streamline the process.

Officials expect increased foot traffic to key attractions such as Hwangmaesan Mountain, Namsa Yedam Village, and Donguibogam Village as the weather warms.

In addition to individual travel incentives, the county is also operating a separate program targeting group tours through travel agencies, extending support to day-trip visitors as well.
