Visitors to Seoul Grand Park can now enjoy a colorful new attraction as thousands of red poppies bloom along the lakeside walking trail, creating one of the park’s most picturesque early summer landscapes.

The flowers, planted in March along the 2.8-kilometer lakeside route, are now in full bloom. The vibrant red poppies contrast with the towering metasequoia trees lining the path, creating a striking backdrop for walkers and photographers.

The trail is particularly popular during the early morning when mist rises from the lake and at sunset when the flowers are illuminated by the evening light.

The lakeside trail takes about an hour to complete and offers visitors a peaceful route around the water, with outdoor tables and resting areas providing places to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Seoul Grand Park has also recently completed improvements to the area with the creation of the new “Green Path Garden.” The project transformed a former outdoor exercise area into a landscaped garden designed to provide a safer and more comfortable environment for visitors.

The renovation was carried out after concerns were raised about uneven surfaces caused by tree root growth near existing exercise equipment. The equipment was relocated, and the space was redesigned with more than 2,300 wildflowers and approximately 1,000 flowering shrubs, including hydrangeas and pink velvet plants.

The upgraded walking route and seasonal flower displays are expected to further establish Seoul Grand Park as one of the capital’s premier outdoor destinations during the summer months.
