Fun in Seoul: Han River art workshop invites visitors to create with local artists

Seoul will host a hands-on art workshop at Jamsil Hangang Park this Saturday, giving visitors the chance to create crafts alongside resident artists.

The “Hangang Sagak Sagak Art Place” program will take place on July 18 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Sagak Sagak Place, a creative space established in Jamsil Hangang Park to support emerging artists while providing cultural experiences for the public.

Open to both children and adults, the workshop will feature a variety of craft activities, including making otter-themed name keyrings, felt tote bags, rainbow hand fans, and mother-of-pearl keyrings.

Each session will be led by resident artists, allowing participants to learn creative techniques while producing their own handmade items.

The event will also include live performances throughout the afternoon, featuring Brazilian percussion by resident artists, Seoul’s “Guseok Guseok Live” street performance series, and local busking performances.

Participants can reserve a spot through Seoul’s Public Service Reservation website or register on-site, subject to availability.

Located near the Jamsil Hangang Bus stop, Sagak Sagak Place serves as a year-round creative hub where artists work and interact with visitors through exhibitions, workshops, and cultural programs.
