Seoul is set to welcome the season with the vibrant “Hangang Festival Spring 2026,” running from May 2 to May 10 along the iconic Han River.
Marking the start of a year-round festival series, the event transforms the riverfront into a lively playground filled with cultural performances, family activities, and outdoor experiences.
This year’s spring edition centers on family-friendly fun, featuring standout programs like the “Starlight Theater,” a creative performance inspired by the beloved Korean children’s song San Jung Hogul. Visitors can also enjoy immersive play zones, interactive exhibits, and whimsical installations designed to engage both children and adults.
A major highlight is the debut Stroller Parade, where families decorate strollers in imaginative themes and walk together along scenic riverside paths. The event combines playful creativity with memorable photo opportunities, capturing the spirit of a joyful spring outing.
On the water, visitors can take part in discounted experiences such as yacht tours, kayaking, and river cruises, offering a fresh perspective of Seoul from the Han River. Wellness enthusiasts can join the popular Silent Yoga sessions, blending relaxation with the tranquility of nature.
Beyond the main festival, the Hangang Night Tour Spring begins May 1, guiding participants through illuminated riverside landmarks with expert commentary. Cultural venues like Gwangjin Bridge 8th Avenue will also host sunset performances and special programs throughout the month.
With food markets, art spaces, and rest areas spread across the parks, the festival offers a complete sensory experience. Organizers encourage visitors to use public transportation, as large crowds are expected during the peak spring season.
