Seoul plans to introduce a new live performance broadcast system that will allow K-pop concerts held at Seoul Arena to be viewed simultaneously in public spaces across the city, starting with a pilot installation at Munjeong Station in Songpa-gu.

The city announced that it will roll out a “Connected Live” system, designed to stream real-time performances beyond the physical limits of a single venue.

The first trial site will be the sunken plaza near Exit 3 of Munjeong Station, where a large LED media screen will be installed in the first half of this year.

Seoul officials say the pilot aims to transform a space previously used mainly as a pedestrian passage into a cultural viewing area, while also supporting nearby commercial activity.

The city will oversee the installation of public performance infrastructure, while Seoul Arena Co., Ltd. will handle live transmission from concerts held in Changdong.

If the Munjeong Station trial proves viable, the city plans to expand the model to other major public locations, including areas near Namsan and Han River parks.

The initiative is intended to lower barriers to accessing large-scale concerts, particularly for residents, visitors, and those unable to secure tickets.
