Seoul is introducing a series of outdoor programs this summer and autumn, giving visitors the chance to enjoy the city’s parks through quiz competitions, yoga sessions, and meditation.
The first event, Seoul Forest Quiz, will be held at Seoul Forest on August 21, 22, and 29 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each session will welcome up to 300 participants for an OX-style quiz covering topics such as Seoul Forest, the Seoul International Garden Show, nature, gardens, Seoul landmarks, and general knowledge.
Contestants will compete individually using green and red light sticks to indicate their answers, with no phone use or discussion allowed.
The competition includes preliminary rounds, a second-chance round, and a final, with the winner receiving a hotel dinner for two. Other prizes, including handcrafted souvenirs and Seoul mascot merchandise, will also be awarded through side events and prize draws.
Reservations opened on August 10 through the official event booking page. Participation costs 3,000 won, with 200 places available online and 100 additional spots offered on-site each event day.
Later in the year, Seonyudo Park will host Seonyudo Yoga on October 9 and 10, with 90-minute sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Each class is limited to 30 participants and features aroma breathing, gentle yoga, self-massage, and a guided singing bowl sound bath. Yoga mats will be provided, and visitors are encouraged to explore the park’s gardens and riverside walking paths after the session.
Registration for the yoga program will open through the Seoul Public Service Reservation System in September, with additional details to be announced on the Garden City Seoul website.
