Seoul’s signature spring celebration is moving to the river this year.

The 2026 Seoul Spring Festival will run from April 10 to May 5 for 26 days across Yeouido, Ttukseom, Jamsil and other Hangang parks, dramatically expanding from last year’s week-long format.

Organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the festival blends K-pop, K-food and large-scale cultural performances with hands-on experiences unique to the river setting.

The opening night on April 10 will feature a Hangang Drone Light Show at Yeouido, followed by additional special performances at Ttukseom on April 25 and Jamsil on May 5.

One of the most anticipated highlights is the “Wonder Show” on May 3 at a waterside stage in Yeouido Hangang Park.

K-pop artists will share the spotlight with the Seoul Metropolitan Dance Theatre, Choir and Traditional Music Orchestra in a cross-genre performance capturing the mood of a spring night by the river.

Throughout the festival, a daily Signature Show will transform the Hangang into a fantasy space, complete with a giant riverside carousel, laser effects and weekend night spectacles.

A 5,000-person Road Show walking event, held in collaboration with Pokémon Korea, will invite families and friends to enjoy the season together.

Seven Hangang Bus docks will be reimagined as themed experience zones under the concept “7 Spots, 7 Emotions,” featuring climbing walls, trampolines, photo zones and exhibitions.

Visitors can also join a Treasure Hunt by scanning QR codes at each dock to receive special festival souvenirs. A Hangang Bus One-Day Pass will allow easy travel between key festival areas such as Yeouido, Banpo and Ttukseom.

Additional partner events, including the Car-Free Jamsugyo Festival, the Hangang University Song Festival and the Seoul Circus Festival, will further energize the city’s riverfront.
