Seoul has selected 100 destinations for its 2026 wellness tourism program, highlighting experiences ranging from meditation and traditional medicine to food, beauty, spas and the arts.

The Seoul Wellness Tourism 100 list was chosen from 217 candidates submitted through an open application and recommendation process. A 14-member panel conducted multiple rounds of evaluations and site inspections before making the final selections.

The destinations are divided into three categories. The largest, focused on rest and recovery, includes 52 locations offering experiences such as meditation, nature-based healing, medical and traditional Korean medicine services and wellness stays. Another 17 locations were selected for food, while 31 represent beauty, spa, arts and cultural experiences.

Among the destinations are Bongeunsa Temple in Gangnam, which will offer nighttime temple meditation programs, and Pilkyungjae, a traditional hanok restaurant specializing in Korean royal court cuisine and hanjeongsik. Boston Chamber Salon was also selected for its classical music programming.

The 100 locations will be featured during Seoul Wellness Travel Week, which opens October 29. This year’s event will place particular emphasis on Gangnam and include programs allowing visitors to experience selected wellness destinations around the city.

Seoul plans to develop the locations into tourism programs combining the city’s medical services, Korean medicine, beauty, food, culture and urban relaxation.
