Seoul launches interactive map of 422 water play spots for summer

Finding a place to cool off in Seoul this summer just got easier.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has launched a new Smart Seoul Map service that brings together information on 422 water recreation facilities across the city, helping families quickly locate nearby places to beat the heat.
The online map includes 103 swimming pools, 97 water playgrounds, 147 splash fountains, and 66 other water features, along with real-time information on locations, operating hours, and available amenities.
The newly opened water playground at Gwangnaru Hangang Park has also been added.
Previously, residents had to search individual district websites or social media accounts for facility information.
The new service consolidates details from all 25 districts into a single platform, with local officials updating information in real time throughout the summer.
The map is accessible on both computers and smartphones through Smart Seoul Map, where users can also share locations with family and friends using QR codes and built-in sharing tools.
In addition to water play facilities, Smart Seoul Map also provides seasonal information on gardens, festivals, and recommended nighttime attractions, making it a useful resource for planning summer outings across the city.
