Seoul will host a special World Cup-themed event at Hangang Play Place in Ttukseom Hangang Park, giving football fans a chance to watch South Korea’s 2026 FIFA World Cup group-stage matches on a large LED screen.
The “Hangang Play Place World Cup Pop-Up” will run from June 12 to 28 and feature live screenings of South Korea’s matches against the Czech Republic (June 12, 11 a.m.), Mexico (June 19, 10 a.m.), and South Africa (June 25, 10 a.m.).
Organizers plan to extend the program if Korea advances beyond the group stage.
The venue will offer reserved seating for up to 100 spectators during each match, with camping chairs or picnic mats provided. Visitors will also receive non-alcoholic craft beer and cheering items.
In addition to the live broadcasts, the event will feature football-themed photo zones, interactive games, uniform coloring activities, and keyring-making workshops. Online prediction contests, including first-goal and final-score challenges, will also be available.
A World Cup-themed pop-up created with Hyundai Motor’s “Le Le Le” character brand will operate on selected dates, featuring merchandise, sports activities, and photo opportunities.
The event is designed to provide a comfortable indoor viewing experience while offering a variety of football-themed activities for families and fans throughout the tournament.
