Shinsegae Centum City is strengthening its services for the rapidly growing number of foreign shoppers by adding a new foreign customer desk and expanding tailored promotions.

With Busan welcoming over three million international visitors for the first time this year, key indicators related to department-store foreign spending are also reaching record highs.

A new foreign customer desk was installed on November 28 on the mall’s first basement level, the second dedicated desk following last year’s expansion of the original counter.

The desk offers on-site tax refunds without needing to visit the airport, multilingual assistance, and guidance on ongoing promotions and benefits.

Alongside upgraded service facilities, Shinsegae is rolling out an expanded lineup of December promotions for foreign customers.

Beginning December 8, shoppers will receive 10,000 won off fashion, accessories, and cosmetics purchases over 100,000 won, and 5,000 won off F&B purchases over 30,000 won.

Additional Shinsegae gift certificates of up to 7% will be offered for purchases of 2 million, 3 million, 5 million, and 10 million won.

The store’s K-beauty select-shop, Chicor Centum City, will also offer 10,000 and 15,000 won discount coupons for purchases of 80,000 and 120,000 won.

From January 17, Shinsegae will join the Korea Grand Sale, offering 10% gift certificates on selected K-fashion purchases and extra discount coupons at participating K-cosmetic brands.
