SR, the operator of the high speed rail service SRT, announced that reservations for Lunar New Year holiday tickets will be available from January 26 to 29.
Lunar New Year falls on February 17 this year, with the holiday period running from February 14 to 18. Tickets available through this reservation window cover SRT services operating between February 13 and 18.
Priority reservations for seniors, people with disabilities, and national merit recipients will take place on January 26 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will be available online only. For passengers with disabilities or national merit status, advance registration is open from January 16 at 12 p.m. until January 22 at 6 p.m.
Customers who have previously registered do not need to register again. Those unable to complete advance registration can reserve tickets by phone at 1800-0242.
Reservations for the general public, including transportation vulnerable groups, will be held on January 28 and 29 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tickets for the Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, and Donghae lines will be available on January 28, while the Honam and Jeolla lines will open on January 29.
Payment for reserved tickets must be completed between January 29 at 3 p.m. and February 1 at 12 a.m.
Unpaid reservations will be automatically canceled. Remaining or canceled seats will be released for general sale after January 29 at 3 p.m. through the SRT website, app, and station ticket counters.
