A spring weekend of music and relaxation is set to unfold along the Han River as Seoul hosts a three-day picnic-style concert on Seorae Island.

From May 8 to 10, the city will stage the “Spring Radiance” picnic concert at Banpo Hangang Park’s Seorae Island, with programs running daily from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Known as one of Seoul’s popular sunset spots, the venue will combine live performances, rest areas and hands-on activities in a casual outdoor setting.

The event centers on hourly live music performances, with artists across acoustic, pop and classical genres taking the stage. Performances begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and from 2 p.m. over the weekend, with each set running about 30 minutes against the backdrop of the Han River sunset.

Visitors can also make use of on-site picnic zones featuring parasols, beanbags and camping chairs, along with reservable wooden rest huts. Free mat rentals will be available on a first-come basis.

Interactive programs include flower-making workshops, windmill crafts, a bubble play zone and a small food market offering picnic-friendly snacks.

All performances and general seating areas are free to access, while select activities and food options may require a fee. More details are available on the Hangang Park website.
