haps Magazine Korea

Taejongsa Temple, home to Korea’s largest hydrangea habitat, hosts its annual festival, from June 29 to July 7.

Since 2006, the festival has attracted numerous visitors to its violet and pink-hued hydrangea in full bloom all over the temple grounds. The temple has hosted more than 10,000 visitors each year eager to drink in the colors and beauty of the scene.

About 5,000 different hydrangeas in 40 varieties come from around the world.

Co-hosted by the Busan Tourism Organization, the office of Yeongdo district and Busan Infrastructure Co., the festival will offer a variety of events including the operation of the special version of Danubi train and a stamp tour event.

Also, naengmyeon (cold noodles) will be served for lunch at the temple, while concerts, traditional games, and fusion percussion performances are scheduled to entertain visitors.
