Tongyeong City has completed the installation of new AI-powered tourism information kiosks at the Gangguan Cultural Square area, introducing interactive digital services for visitors at one of the city’s best-known waterfront destinations.

The kiosks were designed to provide more convenient and engaging tourism services using artificial intelligence technology while enhancing the overall visitor experience around Gangguan Harbor.

One of the main features is an AI-based photography system that allows tourists to take commemorative photos without assistance. The kiosks include various digital background and visual effect options, with completed photos available for immediate viewing and mobile phone transfer.

In addition to photography services, the kiosks provide information on Tongyeong’s major tourist attractions, restaurants, public facilities, and local bus routes through a simplified user interface designed for both residents and visitors.

Multilingual support has also been added to improve accessibility for foreign tourists visiting the city.

The city expects the kiosks to function as a new smart tourism hub linking Gangguan Cultural Square with nearby attractions and commercial areas.
