T’way Air has opened schedules for three new international routes departing from Busan: Chiang Mai, Hanoi, and Kota Kinabalu, with regular service beginning in early January.
The Busan–Chiang Mai route will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays starting January 8. Flights depart Gimhae International Airport at 7:25 p.m. and arrive in Chiang Mai at 11:15 p.m local time. Return flights leave at 12:15 a.m., landing back in Busan at 6:50 a.m.
The Busan–Hanoi service starts January 7 with flights every Wednesday and Saturday. Departures leave Busan at 7:25 p.m and arrive in Hanoi at 10:40 p.m local time. The return flight departs at 12:40 a.m. and lands in Busan at 6:35 a.m.
The Busan–Kota Kinabalu route opens January 9 and will run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, departing Busan at 7:30 p.m and arriving at 11:45 p.m local time. The return flight leaves at 12:45 a.m. and lands at 6:25 a.m.
All three destinations offer distinct travel experiences in the winter season. Chiang Mai is known for its historical old town, temples, café culture, and night markets. Hanoi blends French colonial architecture, lakeside scenery around Hoàn Kiếm, and access to nearby tours such as Hạ Long Bay. Kota Kinabalu is a popular warm-weather escape with coastal sunsets, diving and marine activities, and resort options.
T’way Air currently operates routes from Busan to Nha Trang, Osaka, Sapporo, and Fukuoka, along with domestic flights to Gimpo.
The addition of three Southeast Asian routes expands its international network out of Busan heading into 2026.
