Two local festivals featuring delicious snow crabs will be held in March just up the coast from Pohang.

Uljin Snow Crab Festival

February 28 – March 3

Uljin in Gyeongsangbuk-do is home to the arguably the nations best snow crabs. The four day festival around Hanmaeum Plaza & Wangdolcho Plaza at Hupohang Port becomes alive with a variety of activities, including a snow crab eating competition and fishing events.

Yeongdeuk Snow Crab Festival

March 21 – 23

The Gangguhang Port area is home to the 22nd annual festival which hosts a variety of activities for the family.

Also located in Gyeongsangbuk-do, the festival re-enacts a ceremonial walk of King Taejo, and features plenty of great crab dishes.
