Busan will host the 2025 UN Weeks in Busan from October 24 to November 11, highlighting its identity as the world’s only city with a United Nations Memorial Cemetery and reaffirming its role as a global city of peace.

First launched in 2019, UN Weeks is one of Busan’s signature international events, commemorating the UN’s founding and honoring the sacrifices of Korean War veterans.

Organized by the Busan Global City Foundation, this year’s event coincides with the UN’s 80th anniversary and runs from UN Day from October 24 through Turn Toward Busan Day on November 11.

The celebration will feature a series of major events, including a commemorative banquet and peace concert on October 23, the official UN Day Ceremony on October 24 at the UN Memorial Cemetery, and the World Peace Forum on November 7 at the Westin Josun Busan under the theme “80 Years of Promise, A Future of Peace.”
