Yangsan has reopened the popular Solbat Hwangto-gil inside Ungsang Sports Park on March 2, following the completion of winter closure and maintenance work aimed at improving safety and convenience.
The barefoot-friendly trail, set among pine trees and designed for forest bathing, has gained popularity among residents seeking a natural wellness experience.
During the winter shutdown, the city carried out a series of upgrades to ensure safer and more comfortable use.
Improvements include the installation of level differences along downhill sections to prevent slipping, maintenance of the wet experience zone, and replenishment and resurfacing of the red clay path.
Existing amenities such as pergolas, benches, exercise equipment, and insect traps were also checked and maintained.
The city has continued to invest in safety enhancements at the site. In December last year, the slope leading toward the ssireum training ground was repaired and coconut fiber mats were replaced.
In June, safety fences were installed along inclined sections to help prevent slipping accidents.
