Looking for a different kind of summer challenge? The 2026 Yangsan Uphill Race will return on August 8 at Eden Valley Resort Luge, combining an uphill running race with an evening festival in one of Yangsan’s mountain settings.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., participants will tackle the resort’s steep luge course in either an individual 1.7-kilometer race or a two-person team race, with teams able to choose between a 1.7-kilometer or 2-kilometer course.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers, including 300,000 won for the men’s and women’s individual winners and up to 700,000 won for the winning team.

After the race, the event shifts into festival mode with a water-themed celebration featuring a live performance by Korean rapper and entertainer DinDin.

Open to anyone aged 19 and older, the event costs 30,000 won to enter. All participants will receive a race kit that includes a towel, neck scarf, socks, face mask, protein drink, bread, and an energy bar.

A prize draw will also offer giveaways such as running shoes and tickets to Haeundae Blue Line Park.

Registration is available through the event’s official website: www.yangsanuphillrace.kr
