Miryang has introduced a new nighttime attraction around Yeongnamnu Pavilion, combining light installations, media art, lasers and interactive displays.
The Miryang Cultural Tourism Foundation is currently operating the “Yeongnamnu Starlight Garden” on a trial basis through September 30 at Adongsan and Mubong Park near Yeongnamnu.
Designed to bring the area’s natural scenery and historic surroundings to life after dark, the attraction features 10 themed installations using combinations of light, video, music and laser effects.
Highlights include the Hill of Light, Star Courtyard, Melody of Stars, Waves of Stars, Starlight in the Forest, Fairytale Cabin, Garden of Light, Aurora Forest, Eternal Miryang and Tunnel of Light.
The Starlight Garden will also operate during much of the Chuseok holiday. It will be open as usual on September 24 and 26 but closed on Chuseok Day, September 25.
Admission is free during the trial period through September 30.
Regular operations will begin October 1, with admission priced at 5,000 won for adults and 3,000 won for children and teenagers. Children aged six and younger can enter free.
Miryang residents, people with disabilities, national merit recipients and families with multiple children will be eligible for a 50% discount.
