This week Republic of Korea Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Um, Hyun-Seong, traveled to Commander, Fleet Activities Chinhae to express his appreciation of the fire department in their efforts to combat the wildland fire on the ROK base last week. CFAC sent one of their two 800-gallon-capacity fire engines to combat the blaze side-by-side with the Republic of Korea Navy JNBC fire department ultimately containing a the damage to 8,900 square-feet (826 square-meters) of brush.
