On February 28th, 2023, Osan Middle High School invited two members from Lambda Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. to give a Black History Month presentation promoting the theme: "Black Resistance." In attendance were 275 middle school students eager to learn about black inventors.
Mr. Shaun Stanley and Mr. London Brown gave an interactive presentation and fun quiz about some of the most commonly used products, toys, and lifesaving tools made by 15 to 20 black inventors. During the event each presenter allowed students an opportunity to read a few facts about each inventor to the school body, review their favorite fact, and share the information with their classmates.
Ms. Tiffany Bryant, Principal of Osan Middle High School and other staff members participated in the activity. Everyone in attendance enjoyed the event and left with a renewed enthusiasm and knowledge about some our most famous black inventors and inventions that changed the world.
