With summer just around the corner, a cooling bingsu is the obvious way to welcome the warmer temperatures. But the triple chocolate bingsu at Myeong-dong cafe Kakao Green is no ordinary shaved ice dessert; it’s a chocolatey behemoth topped with truffles, brownie chunks and chopped walnut. Trust me, there is some shaved ice lurking beneath the gravity-defying exterior, but the chances are that you won’t make it that far. As for the larger serving on offer, goodness only knows what that looks like.

Kakao Green’s organic chocolate is made in-store and they also have a large range of other desserts, as well as the usual selection of hot and cold beverages. It’s a great spot for avoiding the tourist crowds and cooling off as the mercury rises.
