When it’s hot, chilly, or rainy outside, the idea of finding a place where kids can play freely while parents unwind sounds like a dream. Fortunately, there is a perfect solution as Korea has an abundance of fun kids’ cafés where both kids and parents can have a joyful time! These kid-friendly havens allow parents to relax, enjoy good food and beverages while their little ones explore diverse play zones. Check out these fun kids’ cafes near your home!

PYEONGTAEK

Little Chief (리틀치프)

Located inside AK Plaza Mall, this café used to be called “Doctor Balance” but recently changed its name. It is easily accessible, being close to Pyeongtaek Station, and you can also enjoy shopping and other activities at the mall when you visit the café. The place offers a variety of play zones, including a costume fitting room where kids can transform into movie characters and a fishing zone where they can catch toy fishes. Additionally, the café provides free iced tea and coffee for parents. Other food and beverage options such as pasta, tteokbokki, and corn dogs are available. Parking at the mall is free for up to four hours. Children aged 0-12 years old are allowed to enter.

Playmom Pyeongtaek (플레이맘 워터룸)

Located close to Osan Air Base, Playmom Pyeongtaek is a unique kids’ café that offers a private rental party room perfect for birthdays and kids’ celebrations. The rental provides access to the entire kids’ café for five hours, giving plenty of time to explore and enjoy all the activities.

The party room is fully equipped with photo zones, playroom and swimming pool, as well as a dining area with a large party table and kitchen. The pool has a variety of cute tubes and accessories and a large screen. Party costumes, hairbands, and more toys are also available. There are so many things to keep children entertained so the five hours will fly by in no time.

It’s the perfect venue for children aged 0 to 12 to celebrate birthdays, Christmas parties, or simply have a blast with their siblings or friends in the private party room. Many parents also rent this space to teach their children how to swim or to enjoy private family pool time, free from interruptions by other visitors.

Bookings can be made through Naver or by phone. For English inquiries, it’s easier to reach the staff via text for assistance.

Jumping Go (점핑고)

This is a large kids’ café featuring various extensive play zones, catering to both infants and children. Their wide trampoline zone allows kids to jump around freely, and kids can explore VR zones, arcade games, bumper cars, and a slide zone filled with balls and more. For parents, there is a spacious resting area to enjoy snacks and beverages, but no meal options are offered. Children should be under 160cm (5.2ft) in height and aged from 0 to 12 years old. Parking at the building is free, so make sure to ask the staff for a parking voucher before leaving.

Kids Dakoong (키즈다쿵)

Kids Dakoong is designed for infants to kids up to age 10. Children ages 11 and up cannot use this café. Kids can first transform into police officers, princesses, or princes in the fitting room before starting their playtime. There’s a Nintendo game zone where they can play Mario Kart, a cooking play zone with an adorable toy kitchen, a jungle play zone with big stuffed animals, a fishing playroom where they can catch toy fish and exchange them for candy, and many other exciting rooms that kids will love. The café has a coffee shop and snack bar. Parents can relax while using electric massage chairs for 1,000 won. The parking is free for up to three and a half hours. If the underground parking lot is full, you can use Sigaetap parking lot located next to the building.

Dinosaur World (공룡월드)

Just a short drive from the U.S. military bases in Pyeongtaek lies Dinosaur World, a paradise for young dinosaur enthusiasts. Located in Asan, it features a large group of realistic dinosaur model exhibits, rides and shows that captivate kids. Little dino fans can create lasting memories while playing in the world of these majestic creatures!

Dinosaur World is located within Asan First Village Outlet Mall, featuring a four-story shopping complex, outdoor mall, large Daiso and Provence French Village, as well as a spacious parking area. This outlet is a perfect destination for families to enjoy a day out with diverse entertainment, shopping and dining options.

DAEGU

Funderland (펀더랜드)

Funderland is one of Daegu’s most popular kid cafés, featuring large facilities and a variety of play areas. The wide play space can accommodate energetic kids of all sizes. Funderland offers exciting activities and diverse play zones, including VR games, big ball pools, large slides, trampolines and a lot more. The café ensures children never get bored, even after hours of play. Parents can enjoy food and drinks at the food court with great views of Suseonmot Lake while their kids play.

Extend play time up to two hours with food court purchases over 10,000 won or by adding the café in KakaoTalk. Parking is available at Suseong Hotel, but make sure to get a parking voucher from Funderland staff.

Champion (챔피온)

Champion is inside the Daegu Department Store Plaza and offers both play and sports zones for young children. With small soccer fields, basketball courts, a boxing ring and more, kids can play diverse sports safely. There are also a variety of unique and fun sports play zones, including a netted play area, rope climbing, and roller racing zone where young kids are encouraged to fully express their energy. The friendly staff provides a safe and enjoyable experience perfect for all children. The café is especially loved by parents as it allows them to shop comfortably while their kids are enjoying the activities.

You can park for free for up to three hours at the Daegu Department Store. Only children under 13 years old and under 150 cm in height are allowed to enter. Snacks such as cookies, beverages, and ice cream are available at the café, but meals are not sold. So, if you want to dine, it’s recommended to use the restaurants on the 1st and 11th floors of the department store.

Waggle I (와글아이)

Waggle Kid’s Play Lounge boasts large ball pools that captivate the attention of young children. There are also signature photo zones, allowing both children and parents to capture beautiful moments together. The café features various themed play areas such as a supermarket and kitchen to stimulate the imagination of young kids.

Also, there are other attractions for parents and children to enjoy together, including a tube sled slide, a thrilling racing park for riding carts, and an air gun shooting range.
