Tucked just a short walk from Gwangalli Beach, Songgyeok Gwangalli has quickly earned a spot on the local dining radar.
Known as one of comedian Park Na-rae’s go-to eateries, the restaurant offers a modern twist on charcoal-grilled chicken while maintaining a casual, inviting atmosphere.
The restaurant is within easy reach of Geumnyeonsan Station and the Gwangalli Bulgogi Alley, making it a convenient stop for both locals and visitors.
Open daily until midnight, it’s a place that accommodates both early dinners and late-night cravings. On weekends, you can expect a wait especially before 8 pm, but a quick booking through the Catch Table app can save you time.
The signature choice is the large assorted chicken platter (44,000 won), featuring six cuts, including drumsticks, breast, wings, neck, and thigh, all boasting an impressively fresh appearance.

A smaller platter for 29,000 won is also available and individual cuts are also available. Each platter comes with a trio of sauces: tangy soy, yuzu chili, and garlic, which add variety to each bite.
Sides like Songgyeok bibim noodles (9,000 won), spring vegetable doenjang jjigae (9,000 won), and Go-shihikari rice (1,500 won) round out the meal.
The doenjang stew, made with seasonal vegetables and a deep, fermented soybean paste, is hearty enough to stand on its own and pairs perfectly with rice for a satisfying spoonful.
One of Songgyeok’s strengths is that the staff grills the meat for you at the table, starting with cuts like drumsticks, wings, and thigh meat, each paired with a recommended condiment.
Tender tenderloin is dipped in sriracha sauce, while the juicy neck meat is suggested with a dash of yuzu chili. The “side salt” cut, known as chicken oyster meat, offers a rich flavor that pairs well with any sauce.

The staff’s expertise is clear in the even cooking and timing, ensuring each cut is served at its peak.
Despite the busy atmosphere, the team remains attentive, offering friendly guidance on pairing sauces and garnishes like fresh and pickled kimchi, which balance the richness of the meat.
Songgyeok has brought its reputation for quality grilled chicken to Busan.
The combination of expertly prepared meat, flavorful accompaniments, and warm service makes this a must-visit for grilled chicken lovers.
Whether you’re a local or visiting the beach, it’s worth planning ahead to secure a seat and savor the experience.
