Taste of Korea: Hot Miryang Food Festa taking place August 8-10

From August 8 to 10, the ‘Hot Miryang Food Festa’ will take over the Miryang Riverside area in Sammun-dong, combining bold local flavors with summer festivities.
The festival aimed to launch a new tourism brand called ‘Hot Miryang,’ highlighting the city’s fiery culinary identity through popular items like Samyang’s Buldak Bokkeum Myeon, Miryang dwaeji gukbap, Matnagochu from Muan-myeon, and links to Sunshine Cultural City.
Five local restaurants, designated as “Hot Stores” will showcase special spicy menus such as Lupang Ice Sandwich, Bulgogi Jeyuk Deopbap, Hot Gimbap, Spicy Handmade Tteokgalbi, and Buldak Bokkeum Myeon Jianbing.
Samyang Foods will host a dedicated pavilion, while popular eateries like Cheogatjip Yangnyeom Chicken and Limonche offer Cheongyang chili chicken and refreshing highballs.
The event will also feature a Buldak eating contest, Hot Store stamp tour, and coincided with the Miryang Water Festival, Summer Sports Festival, and Hip-Hop & Trot Arirang Contest.
